Kellie was admitted as a solicitor in 2001 and called to the NSW bar in 2005. She came to the law as a mature-aged student, bringing a wealth of experience that means she can connect with different people from all parts of society. Kellie chose the legal profession because it gives people the power to make a real difference, challenge the status quo, and bring about real change.
Kellie’s approach is collaborative. She’s an expert at building strong teams while functioning as a project manager and steering the ship though complex litigation. She provides clients with a road map for each case, complete with key landmarks and a probable route, to ensure they know what to expect along the way. Her goal is to give people confidence in the law and the legal process.
Kellie’s work list
Why I do what I do…
- Creating change is the reason I became a lawyer and no doubt why I ended up working so much in the field of discrimination.
- Each case presents new and interesting challenges all the time. No two cases are the same, and I love that.
- I’m proud of the working relationships I’ve developed at the Bar and with other practitioners.
Kellie’s play list
When I’m not in court…
- Writing fiction and reading the latest’s Booker or another Louise Erdrich book.
- Yoga, Pilates, and weights. It’s good to move.
- Gardening, including looking after my bees - might even get honey this year.
